Couch to 5k is a running programme which encourages you to get off the couch and get running!
Taking up running can seem like a scary prospect, especially if you feel out of shape or unfit, but now Lincolnshire Sport has the answer – Get running with Couch to 5k.
What is Couch to 5k?
The programme, which is is being run on behalf of Jog Lincolnshire and local running groups, gradually works you up to running 5k or for half an hour, in just eight weeks.
One of the biggest challenges a novice runner faces is not knowing how or where to start. Often when trying to get into exercise, you can overdo it, feel defeated and give up when you’re just getting started. Couch to 5k works because it starts with a mix of running and walking, gradually building up your fitness and stamina slowly.
When does Couch to 5k take place?
The Couch to 5k programme will take place at various locations around the county.
